Founded in 1839, at the wine estate Viña La Guancha, owner Carlos Pérez Pérez focuses on combining tradition, research and technology while producing wines which are sold under the brand name Viña Zanata, acknowledged both inside and outside the island community.

Our wine is known as ZANATA.

The inspiration for this name came from the discovery of a stone in Tenerife which bore the name engraved in Berber writings. It was like discovering an origin, understanding that this name was perfectly suited to the antiquity of the culture surrounding each drop of our wine. The name was that of a tribe from the North of Africa, which settled in the North of the island of Tenerife; this aboriginal people were renamed Guanche by Castille after the Canaries were conquered.

Production of Viña Zanata totals 150,000 litres/year in the different varieties, a total of around 200,000 bottles.
